During your first appointment, your therapist will listen to your story and record a detailed history about your injury, including how it happened, how severe, recovery goals and any medical concerns. Your therapist will then complete a thorough objective assessment of joint, muscle and neurological function. All findings will be shared with you, including prognosis, rehabilitation plan and expected time to recover. Our goal is to ensure that you understand your condition and what it will take to fully recover. Expect your visit to last 45 – 60 minutes.
This varies depending on the scope of the injury. At your initial assessment, your Physiotherapist will assess the condition and will discuss a treatment plan with you. Your progress will depend on a variety of factors that your physiotherapist will communicate throughout the rehabilitation process to ensure you are comfortable with the plan.
Check with your extended benefits provider to see if you have coverage for physiotherapy. Many plans cover physiotherapy however amounts vary so check with your provider to confirm coverage. We are able to direct bill and electronically submit your claim to most insurance companies for your convenience. Please have all your insurance information with you at your appointment.
